About Nick Nickerson – Chatham Cape Cod Artist and Shell Fisherman

Three generations of Willard Nickersons share and intimate fellowship as they prepare the morning's haul for market. When finished, they will have 90 pounds of tasty sea food.

"It runs in his blood"

Nick Nickerson is a proud descendant of a long line of resilient fisherman from Cape Cod.

In 2010 he decided to put to use a valuable and vast resource, which would otherwise serve as a mere waste byproduct of the fishing industry.

The seashell mirrors, house numbers, and silhouette ornaments are made from shellfish harvested locally from Cape Cod waters.

As my business expanded, I found myself needing more space to work. I was very fortunate to find the perfect studio in Room 111 at the Harwich Cultural Center. For studio appointments contact Nick at (508)-237-4213 or nicknickerson@comcast.net.
